These have a history of performing well in cold or harsh regions such as Poland and Eastern Europe. The fruit from these trees has been used widely in cooking for apple pies, cider and preserves. Or eaten as a tart treat right off the tree! (Say that three times fast.) The trees can grow to about 23 feet tall. They also feature gorgeous blushing white and pink flowers. These trees are so hardy they are often used as root stock for grafting other apple tree varieties.
